The main part of the ICON ICX TX Challenge, stress testing, ended 2 weeks ago. The secondary element for ICON developers now has less than 3 weeks to run. The BLOC8 team has produced this handy summary for the 10 judges to consider when reviewing the blockchain services of each team.

• BLOC8 has spent hundreds of hours reviewing the proposals of P-REP candidates. Results of P-REP review.
• The BLOC8 business model is used by other social media networks such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter i.e. free for users but with the potential for huge revenue streams from advertisers on the network.
• Gambling DApps can lead to depression and even suicide in severe cases. Gambling is considered sinful by many. “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”
• Gaming DApps can become addictive and scientific research has shown that some gamers suffer from lack of sleep, poor cardio-metabolic health and obesity. Co-author of the 2016 study, Dr. Katherine Morrison wrote “It affects a vulnerable population of children and youth, can impact social interactions amongst youth and, as our research shows, can drive health issues.“
• The BLOC8 blockchain service has the potential to be a real life saver. In addition, with the right marketing, it will generate millions of transactions every day for decades to come. These transactions will go a long way to cover the inflationary effect of staking and P-Rep rewards.
• ICON is touted as the Ethereum of South Korea but it’s a small geographical area of just 51 million people. DApps written in Korean have a very limited user base whereas 20% of the global population understands English. DApps in English exposes ICON to at least 1.5 billion people.
• As far as we know BLOC8 is the only team using a blockchain feature that helps prevent bad actors in crypto from stealing ICX from ICONists. In addition our DApp can be used on Android, iOS and PC’s.
• BLOC8 automatically sends ICX to the wallets of our members when they sign up so they don’t need to risk using an exchange to use our DApp.
• When BLOC8 receives the outstanding ICX from stress testing the ICON network our very innovative airdrop will go live. Think ICONLOOP and ICON but in reverse. BLOC8 token holders will be eligible for shares in an EU registered company.
